Worksheets
Ground Rules
We need to agree on rules about how to talk and listen to each other. Here are some important rules. Add to these if you like
Listen carefully and treat others with respect
Each person gets a chance top talk.
One person talks at a time. Don’t cut people off.
Speak for yourself. Don’t assume to speak for others or your “group”
If you feel hurt by what someone says, say so, and say why.
It’s OK to disagree.
Don’t use names if you talk about someone who is NOT in the group or class. Some of the things that we talk about in this group will be personal. Unless we say it’s OK, we will not talk about each others stories outside this group

Welcome to Teen Issues
Teen Issues is a course where students explore their emotional health and development through interactive exercises and Socratic discussion. Topics that are covered include Self-esteem and positive relationships, bullying and sexual harassment, drugs, alcohol and tobacco (facts and myths), STD’s and HIV/AIDS.
Teen Issues is a participatory class. Grades are generated from in class assignments and in class group projects. Students are encouraged to express themselves in a positive appropriate manner to encourage tolerance and understanding among each other.
The loose structure of the class and the use of a variety of learning strategies addresses all types of learners, and allows for an active candid exchange that results in deepening our self-understanding. WE HAVE FUN!!!
